With bite-sized sampling portions, informative workshops, luxury gourmet products, Taste MIGF 2014 opened the official MIGF month of October with much fanfare!

This year’s two-day preview event Taste MIGF kicked things off in spectacular fashion over the 27th and 28th of September in the Sunway Convention Centre.

The journey for visitors began with the purchase of Gourmet Dollars from the registration counters valued at RM50 per booklet, which granted access to the aweinspiring Theatre of Cuisines.

Each of the 28 restaurant stations were exquisitely decorated and smiling serving staff urged visitors to tear off the requisite number of Gourmet Dollars to exchange for sampling portions.

Around noon, guests were treated to a cooking demonstration by the renowned Chef Wan followed by world pizzatossing champion Pasqualino Barbasso who dazzled the Theatre audience, spinning, twirling and even juggling the doughy discs with a wide smile on his face. He succeeded in tossing a piece of dough long enough to drape over a child like a giant poncho!

There was also a variety of lifestyle workshops, wine and mixology as well as cooking classes to occupy the visiting crowd.
